The Invisible Architecture of Life and Leadership.
Decisions by Design | Edition 01
On average, we humans make 35,000 decisions a day, from the mundane to the mission-critical.
They shape everything from how we dress to what we say and what we eat. One Cornell study found the average person makes 221 decisions a day on food alone. Warm or cold, oat or almond, salt or pepper. You get it.
These choices form the rhythm and architecture of our lives.
But here's the thing: only 5% of our decisions are made consciously.
The other 95%? Driven by what’s hidden below the surface. Subconscious beliefs, emotional patterns, nervous system conditioning, and past experiences that continue to shape our present choices.
This matters, especially in leadership, where our decisions impact others at scale.
At The Beacon Collective, we believe coaching, at its core, is in service of decision-making.
Helping leaders see more clearly, sort what matters, recognize their patterns, understand their unique energy, and make choices from a place of alignment and agency.
That’s what this newsletter is about.
Decisions by Design is a space to examine the invisible architecture behind the choices you make, and to offer insights, tools, and frameworks for decision-making that’s clearer, cleaner, and more deeply aligned with who you are.
Life and Leadership are built on decisions.
Let’s make them count together.
With Clarity and Care,
